Central Corfu Municipality to provide tickets for Vidos to vulnerable groups

Deputy Mayor for Finance Giorgos Pantelios told Enimerosi that Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality will be purchasing tickets and making them freely available to vulnerable groups to access Vidos Island with open-market boats.

This solution is being tried out following two unsuccessful tenders for the lease of the municipal boat “Agios Stefanos”, in order to start theshuttle service to Vidos. However, because there was no interest and until today the island can be accessed either by private boats or open-market shuttle boats with a ticket, the Municipality has resorted to this solution.

Mr. Pantelios told Enimerosi: “The Municipal Authority is to looking to purchase tickets for vulnerable groups, because it wants to serve the people and satisfy their needs”.
