CORFU. Call for expressions of interest for a further 370 rooms on tourist islands.
The recent increase in the number of cases in popular Greek tourist destinations has led to the quarantine hotels being nearly full of those who have tested positive for Covid-19 and their close contacts.
The Ministry for Tourism has issued a new invitation for expressions of interest from hotel properties to accommodate future Covid-19 cases in the Regions of Thessaly, Ionian Islands, Crete and South Aegean particularly in Skopelos, Alonissos, Corfu, Heraklion, Rethymnon, Chania, Mykonos, Naxos and Paros.
In Corfu the Ministry is seeking a 40-room property.
