CORFU. The body was spotted by nearby boats and the police and Coastguard were called.
The body of a man aged 65-70 was pulled out of the sea near St. George's Church at the Old Fortress on Sunday morning.
The body was spotted by nearby boats at around 10:15 and the police and Coastguard were called.
A Coastguard boat pulled the man, who was wearing flippers, out of the sea but he was already dead. The body was taken to Corfu General Hospital.
