ATHENS. The Committee of Experts is considering an even stricter framework for travelling within the country.

The Committee recommends that, for inter-regional travel by public transport (boat,
aeroplane, train, intercity bus), those who are unvaccinated should present a negative Covid-19 test. In effect, the experts are requesting that self-tests should not be accepted.

More specifically, the Ministry of Health experts will reportedly recommend the presentation of a negative PCR or rapid test or the presentation of the European Digital Certificate Covid-19, which came into force on 1 July and proves that the holder is either vaccinated or has had Covid-19 in the last six months or has a negative PCR or rapid test.

It should be noted that the proposal concerns travel within the country by public
transport, such as planes, boats and trains, while, as was mentioned on the public
televisionchannel, there may be some exceptions for those who travel daily for work.
