LONDON. As expected, Greece remains on the amber list along with other popular tourist destinations.
Only Malta has been added to the UK green list and the popular Balearic Islands - Majorca, Ibiza and Minorca - along with Madeira, Israel, Grenada, Barbados and Bermuda have been put on the green watch list as announced by Transport Minister Grant Shapps.
Turkey on red list
Grant Shapps added on a Twitter post that six countries will be put on the red list, including Tunisia and Haiti.
Fully vaccinated travellers
With Britons pressing for more travel freedom, he also said that the quarantine requirement for those arriving from amber countries who are fully vaccinated will be lifted in the near future. An announcement will be made next month.
However, Germany and France are pressing the EU to impose a mandatory quarantine on travellers arriving from the UK to prevent the spread of the Delta variant.
