Strike and protest march in Corfu today

CORFU. There was a protest gathering outside the Workers΄ Centre on Wednesday morning as part of the nationwide ADEDY and union strike.
Along with the Civil Servants' Confederation (ADEDY) unions from the private sector and the self-employed also took part in the protest march that followed.
According to a statement from ADEDY, their demands are as follows:
"We are fighting for:
- The abominable legislation must be withdrawn now
- Abolishment of settlements, flexible hours and going against collective contracts
- Regular daily hours of work and decrease in work time
- Free collective bargaining without the involvement of the state
- Collective work contracts with wage increases and the granting of rights
- Abolishment of all laws against insurance and the Katrougalos pension law. Public sector pensions to be paid immediately
- Health protection and safety for workers
- Hands off our unions. Unions to be able to act freely without obstruction. Abolishment of the SYRIZA strike laws and demonstration laws"
