CORFU. On Sunday 20 June for World Music Day. "Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything" Plato.
On the occasion of World Music Day there will be a music and dance performance at 21:30 on Sunday 20 June in the Old Palace gardens. The event "The Double Rainbow – The Double Harmony" is being held under the aegis of Central Corfu Municipality and Corfu Culture, Sport and Environment Association (SYPAP).
The General Secretary for Modern Culture Dr. Eleni Doundoulaki will be attending.
"A double rainbow - a unique natural phenomenon - appeared twice in the Corfu sky in the space of three days in December 2020 and gave us the creative inspiration for "The Double Rainbow".
Spyros Rouvas, composer and deputy conductor at 'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Society composed seven musical pieces - one for each colour of the rainbow.
