ATHENS. Free self tests will no longer be available at pharmacies after 19 June according to Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association board member Thanasis Papathanasis.

According to the letter sent by the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association to the individual Pharmaceutical Associations around the country, the board decided with 11 votes for and 3 against to distribute free self tests until 19 June to cover the public needs as fully and quickly as possible, especially the needs of pupils who will be taking their national exams.

After this date pharmacy warehouses will have to take back any tests that haven't been used as free distribution will then cease.

From Monday 7 until Saturday 12 June three self tests will be available to those in the public and private sector for the period 7 - 30 June, according to a ministerial decision.

From Monday 14 until Saturday 19 June three self tests will be available for the academic community (pupils, teachers, administration).

In this way, high school pupils will be able to get self tests ahead of the national exams and primary school pupils for the end of the school year.
