Corfu Mega vaccination centre opens today with 700 appointments

CORFU. Members of the public started arriving early in the morning on the opening day of the new Mega vaccination centre.
The centre, which was quickly set up at Corfu National Sports Centre, hopes to speed up the achievement of the level of immunity desired by the Ministry of Health.
Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias, who is coordinating the work, paid an inspection visit to the centre on Saturday. He stated that the centre will have 10 vaccination streams administering the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine.
The President of Corfu Medical Association Dimitris Kaloudis was the centre today and once again thanked the local private doctors who have offered their services to cover the medical needs of the centre.
