CORFU. The volunteers removed small plastic items, masks, plastic straws, cups and bottletops - even a basketball!
The Corfu All For Blue group completed another beach clean-up in Avlaki in the northwest of the island.
Although the authorities had completed a clean-up last week, the group wanted to remove all the small items of waste.
The volunteers posted photos on Facebook and commented: "We removed small plastic items, masks, plastic straws, cups and bottletops - even a basketball!
The beach, which is well-known as it was the favourite beach of famous British writer and naturalist Gerald Durrell, is now completely clean.
Stay in tune for our upcoming clean-up activities in Corfu and the rest of Greece."
