Fireworks and ringing of bells at midnight for Resurrection in Corfu

CORFU. At exactly midnight the sky lit up with fireworks and church bells rang out joyfully.
Once again, a crowd of people gathered in the Upper Square to enjoy the firework display despite the lockdown.
"Christ is Risen" was called out at 9 p.m. at other churches - without the church bells ringing - and will be celebrated early on Easter Sunday morning at other churches.
