Good Friday in Corfu is a unique dialogue between tradition and the island’s musical heritage. From early evening, the streets of the Old Town become the setting for an unforgettable, almost mystical ceremony.

The iconic bands of Corfu accompany the Epitaphio processions with mournful marches—such as Albinoni's Adagio or Amleto—that resonate through the atmosphere and inspire awe.

The day concludes late at night with the procession of the majestic Epitaphio of the Metropolitan Church. It is the last and most imposing, bringing together the entire crowd and all the philharmonic bands in a procession that remains etched in memory.
