CORFU. Liston has now been lit up in purple, the colour of mourning, for Easter Week.
The traditional lanterns in Liston were lit up in purple on Monday following the centuries-old tradition symbolising mourning for Christ.
This is perhaps the only custom that hasn't been affected by the pandemic measures - along with the lighting up of the cross above the Old Fortress, also in purple.
