CORFU. The traditional Easter mourning purple lighting could be seen in Liston on Tuesday night.
A municipal crew lit four lanterns as a test in preparation for what will be one of the few Corfu Easter traditions to be kept this year due to the pandemic.
The traditional Liston lanterns are lit up in purple every year on Easter Thursday and Good Friday as a symbol of mourning for Christ.
