Tourist coach owners meet with South Corfu Mayor

CORFU. Just ahead of the beginning of the tourist season the major shortcomings in Corfu still remain.
The Board of the Tourist Coach Owners' Association met with South Corfu Mayor Kostas Lessis on Tuesday. The Association expressed its concern about the islands many shortcomings ahead of the tourist season.
With regard to waste, the Mayor was optimistic that there won't be a repeat of the nightmare we had over the last few years. As for the condition of the roads, he said that work was planned within the tight budget that exists.
The problem of tourist coaches passing through the centre of Kavos at summer peak times was also discussed.
In its statement the Association said that they also discussed Lefkimmi Port and its connection with Epirus, which can drive growth not only in South Corfu, but the whole island.
