Corfu to have 10 vaccination streams

Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas met with Deputy Health Minister Vassilis Kontozamanis on Monday evening and then posted the following:

"10 active vaccination streams in Corfu with 684 vaccinations a day! I met with Deputy Health Minister Vassilis Kontozamanis this evening and the news is good!

From 1 - 3 April the new vaccination centres at Lefkimmi and Agros-Agios Athanasios will start operating. The centres will be open 08:00 - 20:00. Lefkimmi will be able to administer 60 AstraZeneca vaccinations a day and Agios Athanasios 72 Pfizer vaccinations a day.

Paxos will also have a vaccination centre administering 72 Pfizer vaccinations a day.

From 1 April Corfu will have a total of 10 vaccination streams at the following centres: 4 at Corfu General Hospital (3 Pfizer / 1 AstraZeneca), 2 at Corfu Health Centre (Pfizer), 1 at Agios Markos Health Centre (AstraZeneca), 1 at Lefkimmi Health Centre (AstraZeneca), 1 at Agros-Agios Athanasios Health Centre (Pfizer) and 1 at Paxos Health Centre (Pfizer). The total capability is 684 vaccinations a day.

I would like to thank Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias and Deputy Health Minister Vassilis Kontozamanis for responding to my request that all the Health Centres in Corfu operate as vaccination centres. In this way we can administer just under 700 vaccinations a day - a very satisfactory number - and can make it more convenient for the public."
