TUI UK has officially cancelled all holiday packages and flights until 16 May in a letter from Helen Caron, Group Purchasing Director to hotel partners in all markets.

TUI UK’s decision comes after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the country’s exit from the lockdown schedule, according to which on 12 April the government will announce when international travel will resume, a date which can not be to be before 17 May.

Ms. Caron states in her letter: “I would like to inform you about some changes in our programme and also to inform you about how we will continue to keep you informed about our operation in the future.

The UK government has announced key dates for easing Covid 19 restrictions in the UK. This included an announcement that a working group would reconsider whether, when and how international travel could resume. This working group is going to report its findings on 12 April, but in the meantime, the government has confirmed that the ban on international travel will be extended until at least May 17, 2021.

According to this announcement, unfortunately we have no choice but to cancel all TUI vacation packages, from the airports of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland until May 16, 2021. TUI packages from Republic of Ireland, canceled until 5 April 2021″.
