CORFU. The traffic lights at Agia Ekaterini junction in Alykes are out of order yet again.
Drivers need to take great care and the Regional Authority has arranged for the Traffic Police to place barriers at the spot in order to avoid any accidents.
The barriers prevent cars from the Agia Ekaterini exit from crossing the main road.
Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu Melita Andrioti told Enimerosi that a piece of equipment was malfunctioning and efforts were being made to replace it.
She said that the traffic lights are expected to be operating again within 4 - 5 days and steps have been taken to appoint a contractor, with a temporary contractor in place at the moment.
