40 fines in Corfu on Tuesday

CORFU. A total of 40 fines were issued in Corfu and another 18 in the other Ionian Islands on Tuesday 9 February.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
On 9 February fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 5 people in Corfu and 2 in Cephalonia.
€300 fines were also issued for lockdown violations as follows: 35 in Corfu, 10 in Zakynthos, 3 in Cephalonia and 3 in Lefkada.
In Ithaka the owner of a cafe-bar was arrested and fined €3,000 for allowing 7 customers in the premises. The customers were also fined €300 each.
