Two Dassia greengrocers fined €7,000
CORFU. The fines were imposed following inspections by Corfu Regional Unit Development Department.
Hefty fines were imposed by Corfu Regional Unit Development Department on two greengrocers in Dassia because they had not placed price tags on certain products.
Inspections by employees of the Service preceded the imposition of a fine of 3,000 euros on one business for failing to display a price tag with the price and characteristics of the product at the point of sale for four codes of unpackaged products.
Another shop in the same area was fined 4,000 euros for the exact same reason (lack of a price tag on four codes of unpackaged products) as well as for not having the required signage on the premises informing customers that they are entitled to pay using a credit, debit, or prepaid card, and the categories of cards the business accepts.
