38 fines in Corfu over Christmas weekend

CORFU. A total of 38 fines were issued in Corfu and another 32 in the other Ionian Islands between Friday 25 December and Monday morning.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
From 25 December to Monday 28th fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 9 people in Corfu, 4 in Zakynthos, 2 in Lefkada and 1 in Cephalonia.
€300 fines were also issued for lockdown violations as follows: 29 in Corfu, 11 in Zakynthos, 7 in Cephalonia and 6 in Lefkada.
There was also 1 violation in Cephalonia regarding the number of people allowed in cars with a fine of €150 being imposed.
