CORFU. A total of 41 fines were issued in Corfu and another 19 in the other Ionian Islands on Wednesday 23 December.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
On 23 December fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 24 people in Corfu, 5 in Cephalonia and 1 in Zakynthos.
€300 fines were also issued for lockdown violations as follows: 17 in Corfu, 6 in Zakynthos, 5 in Lefkada and 2 in Cephalonia.
