ATHENS. The lockdown coincides with the olive harvest.

Both the Prime Minister and the General Secretary for Trade Panayiotis Stamboulidis announced that activities in the primary production sector (agricultural produce) are allowed.

Government Spokesperson Stelios Petsas also clarified the situation regarding olive collecting in an interview on SKAI Radio.

Provision has been made for all activities in the primary production sector and any movement necessary to complete the harvesting of olives and other agricultural products.

Olive harvesting will continue as normal as long as there are the necessary documents.

- Workers must have a certificate of employment from their employers.
- Owners and their heirs must have the E9 form with them.
- Olive producers must have the Integrated Administration and Control System (OSDE) declaration based on which they receive their grants.
