Tania Roumkou
Tania was born in Thessaloniki and studied at Thessaloniki Aristotelio University and graduated in Economics. She has dedicated herself to teaching Raja Yoga and other spiritual principles for 23 years and has been trained at Raja Yoga centres in Greece, India, Italy and the UK. She believes that meditation is the perfect way to connect with one's inner self and have a real communication with the divine source. She is also an author and writes fairy tales and books for adults and lives in Corfu, giving talks, seminars and self-knowledge workshops to aid self-improvement.
Katy Moltsa
Katy has been practising for many years and was taught in the yoga community in Thessaloniki and Corfu. She is from Karditsa and completed a 200-hour 'Ev Zin' teacher training in Thessaloniki, since when she has been giving regular yoga classes.
Her experience, personal and group training and her education at Thessaloniki Aristotelio University has given her the understanding that we not only all have different bodies but that we all turn to yoga for different reasons. Consequently, her lessons are frequently adapted to suit those taking part.
Retreat venue
'The house house' is located in a wonderful environment 28km southwest of Corfu Town in Halikouna near the village of Agios Mathaios (7km). The Korission Lagoon is nearby, which is a protected Natura area and many rare species of birds stop there during their migration. The sandy beach is the biggest in Corfu. The wild virgin nature is unique in Corfu and the beach reminds one of a desert with its sand dunes and cacti.
The peace and tranquillity in the area make it suitable for going within oneself and meditating. The cedar forest at the end of the beach is ideal for walking and exploring nature and the area is also ideal for adventure-lovers and those who like activities such as surfing and horse riding.
