112 emergency number reactivated

ATHENS. With the return of holidaymakers following 15 August and the increase in cases in Greece the sharp-sounding alert has returned to mobile phones.
The automatic 112 emergency alert number has been reactivated and mobile phones received the following message from the Civil Protection General Secretariat just before 13:00 today: "Be especially careful when returning from your holidays. There is an increased risk of spreading COVID-19. Avoid contact with vulnerable individuals and follow the protective measures."
