ATHENS. Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias said that the next few days will be critical as regards the coronavirus pandemic.

Following his announcement of additional measures, Nikos Hardalias posted on Facebook to say that the next few days will determine how things will develop at this stage of the pandemic.

"The next few days will be critical. They will determine how things will develop at this stage of the pandemic and our battle against the invisible enemy.

The message, what is required, our goal is just this - to stay healthy and for there to be no need to take measures that will be disastrous for our economy and for our businesses, families and country.

This needs to be clear.

If from today and for the next days each one of us wears a mask and maintains proper distancing...

If those who return from their holidays, especially, keep away from people who could be at risk and adhere to the protective measures...

If we all avoid gatherings of people and adhere to the protective measures whilst relaxing and enjoying ourselves...

Then, and only then, will we win the battle."
