New measures: Catering and entertainment establishments in Corfu cannot stay open after midnight

CORFU. Cafes, bars, restaurants and night clubs will close at 12 every night in Corfu and several other areas in Greece that are epidemiologically challenged.
The Government has announced additional measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus following a teleconference chaired by Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni said that the Thessaloniki International Fair will not take place, there will be extra measures at entry points and measures to limit the number of standing persons at events.
The measures announced are as follows:
1. The 85th Thessaloniki International Fair, scheduled for 5 - 13 September, will not take place. The Prime Minister will give the traditional address from Thessaloniki on 5 September in front of a limited audience.
2. Based on epidemiological data, from 17 August a negative PCR test from up to 72 hours prior to arrival will be required for travellers on flights from Sweden, Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands.
3. From 17 August a negative PCR test from up to 72 hours prior to arrival will also be required for all travellers arriving via land borders. This includes Greek citizens and those with residency permits. The test must be taken in the country of origin, not Greece.
4. From 16 August there will be a limit on the number of people allowed to enter the country via Kakavia. A maximum of 750 people a day will be allowed to enter.
5. All events throughout Greece in which participants are standing are prohibited, including concerts and other performances.
6. Based on epidemiological data, it has been decided that from 11 - 23 August catering establishments are prohibited from operating between 12 midnight and 7a.m. in the following areas:
- Crete, Eastern Macedonia & Thrace
- Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Larissa and Corfu
- Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Volos, Katerini, Rhodes, Antiparos, Zakynthos and Kos
This measures may be extended to other areas depending on the ongoing epidemiological data.
