ATHENS. The measures were announced by Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas, who said, "Greece is and will remain safe for public health. We have taken and whenever necessary will take every necessary measure in line with what experts say."
Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas announced new measures for entry to Greece via land borders.
He said, "In addition to what has already been decided regarding entry at Promahonas, from midnight on Tuesday 21 July until Tuesday 4 August entry to Greece by land for essential travel will only be permitted through the border crossings at Kakavia, Krystallopigi, Evzones, Promachonas, Nymphaia and Kipi.
"Secondly, Greek citizens and those with residence permits or holders of an expatriate ID will also be required to fill in a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) available at https:// travel.gov.gr.
"We stress that coronavirus is here and we appeal to Greek citizens to avoid non-essential travel to areas with a high epidemiological load, as is currently the case in the Balkans." Mr. Petsas warned that "land workers who are currently in Greece and leave before August 4 will not have the right to return until further notice.
"Greece is and will remain safe for public health. We have taken and whenever necessary will take every necessary measure in line with what experts say."
From tomorrow, Tuesday 21 July, and every Tuesday at 13:00 Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias will update the media on all the latest developments.
