The patient had come into Greece at Promahonas, where he was tested for Covid and found to be positive. Contact tracing is being carried out as he had come with another group of tourists on a coach.
In addition to the Romanian patient now in Ioannina, five members of a Serbian family who were holidaying in Lefkada are also hospitalised there along with an elderly woman from Paramythia. Three cases are in quarantine in Corfu in the quarantine hotel.
