VAT reduced to 13% - see which products will be cheaper from Monday

From Monday 1 June the new reduced VAT rate comes into force for tens of products and services. All the changes were included in an amendment presented to Parliament late on Wednesday night to give flesh to the support measures announced by the Government last week.

The following products and services will have 13% VAT whether bought from a supermarket or in cafes:

Mineral water
Cola drinks
Lemonade / Lemonita
Orange juice
Sour cherry juice
Iced tea
Non-alcoholic beer
Coffee, tea
Milk substitute
Chocolate milk
Fruit juices
Tonic preparations
Isotonic preparations
 Energy drinks

There will also be 13% VAT on the following services:

Cinema tickets
Air tickets
Ferry tickets
Passenger transport
