ATHENS. The total number of cases of COVID-19 in the country is now 2,882 and the total number of fatalities is 172 - 18 patients are in ICUs and 101 have been discharged.
The Ministry of Health representative Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras announced that there were 4 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Greece today, taking the total to 2,882, 55.2% of which are males. 627 (21.8%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,640 (56.9%) are from contacts with known cases.
18 patients remain intubated in ICUs, with an average age of 69. Five (27.8%) are females. 83.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70.
101 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
There was one death today, taking the total to 172, 51 (29.7%) of whom were females. The average age was 76 and 94.8% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
To date 155,037 tests have been carried out.
