CORFU. Corfu catering businesses are working hard in preparation for Monday΄s reopening following the 2-month lockdown. See what some owners said to Enimerosi about the measures and their concerns...

All the catering businesses in Corfu - and the rest of Greece - are working hard for tomorrow's (Monday 25 May) reopening of cafes and restaurants following the 2-month lockdown due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The 'restart' of cafes and restaurants is of major significance for the market as the catering sector - especially in tourist resorts like Corfu - is an important, if not the most important, part of the local economy for both businesspeople and employees.

Health protocols, safety regulations, Government support measures (economic, tax etc.) for businesses, new seating arrangements for customers, proper distancing, cleansing, disinfection and many other factors all have to be properly managed.

Enimerosi spoke with Corfu businesses - in the midst of their preparations - about their feelings and concerns regarding tomorrow's reopening as well as their optimism that this crisis can gradually be overcome.
