Voluntary beach clean-ups in Arillas and Benitses

Voluntary clean-ups are planned for Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May.

Arillas Cultural Initiative and Arillas Corfu voluntary group along with the community presidents from Magoulades, Kavadades and Afionas and the area Business Association are organising a clean-up of the beach and public areas at 10:00 on Friday morning, meeting up at the jetty on Arillas beach.

The work to be done includes painting, pruning, grass cutting, repairs and beach clean-up so as to be ready to welcome visitors. A small group of volunteers has already undertaken to place white rubbish bins along the beach and to empty them regularly until the tourist businesses open.

In their invitation the organisers say "Your participation is important. All together we can give Arillas the quality it deserves. As protection against COVID-19 we are taking all the necessary measures and adhering to proper distancing."

Saturday evening in Benitses

Benitses Cultural Society and Bentses Community are organising a voluntary clean-up of Benitses beach on Saturday 23 May at 17:30.
