Green light from health experts for catering establishments to reopen on 25 May

ATHENS. The health committee has approved the reopening of restaurants and cafes on 25 May.
The official announcement is expected soon, possibly this evening, and will include the rules and regulations to be followed when the catering establishments reopen.
The Government had asked the specialist health committee to look into the possibility of reopening catering establishments, cafes etc earlier than 1 June as long as, of course, the data regarding the pandemic allows it.
This was based on the fact that the experience to date of economic and social activities recommencing in an organised way and in adherence with health guidelines has been positive.
The lifting of the lockdown measures against the pandemic continues, at all times bearing in mind the epidemiological data and expert opinion and adhering to all the measures to protect public health.
The aim is to gradually return to a new normality.
