Prof. Tsiodras talked about encouraging results from Hong Kong in the search for treatment and said that, according to WHO, 8 possible vaccines are at the second stage of clinical tests.
He also said that recently people have understandably recently become more relaxed but he stressed that we have to be careful. "We mustn't take things lightly," he said and mentioned that he has seen a lot of people not using masks correctly. He insisted that we also need to use antiseptic and asked people to avoid using public transport as much as possible.
In answer to a question, Prof. Tsiodras didn't rule out the possible opening of organised beaches this weekend, when temperatures are expected to reach 35 degrees. However, he stressed once again that gatherings must be avoided.
