Corfu Hospital: New guidelines for protection of the public

CORFU. Corfu Hospital Administration has issued new guidelines for the protection of the public.

Corfu General Hospital Administration has issued the following new guidelines for the protection of members of the public coming to the hospital:

- Entrance to the hospital remains via the MAIN ENTRANCE and the side entrance (from the traffic lights on Eth.Paleokastritsa Rd.) remains closed.

- Everyone, without exception, will answer questions from staff at the Main Entrance regarding coronavirus so that the Emergency Department and Outpatients Department can be informed immediately of any possible suspect cases.

- The priority of the Outpatients Department is to deal with post-surgery observation of patients and patients with chronic conditions. The department will admit ONLY those who have an appointment (without an escort if their condition allows it) and who come at the time arranged.

- Appointments for the Outpatients Department can be made ONLY by phone - 26610 30062 - and are arranged in such a way as to protect the personnel and members of public coming to the hospital.

- Those who have arranged to be examined at the Outpatients Department are requested to phone 26610 30062 to arrange a new appointment.

- Regular operations have been planned in adherence with proper COVID-19 protection procedures.

- It is obligatory for prescriptions to be issued electronically.

- Visiting is not permitted until further notice.

It is compulsory for members of the public to wear masks in the hospital, show understanding, listen to members of staff and keep their time in the hospital to the absolute minimum.
