CORFU. Corfu catering businesses will be taking part in the nationwide silent protest - ΄Empty Chairs΄.
'Empty Chairs' protests have already taken place in towns and cities abroad as a cry for help in facing the consequences of the health crisis. The protest in Corfu will take place today, Wednesday, at 20:00 in Liston and is being organised by Corfu Gastronomy Association.
Following the decision of the Panhellenic Federation of Restaurant & Related Professions (POESE), the protest will take place on the same day and at the same time throughout Greece, including Syntagma Square in Athens, with empty chairs.
The protest is a silent symbolic act from the catering and entertainment sector without any people being present. They are demanding effective solutions to ensure the survival of professionals in the sectors.
