6 new cases of coronavirus in Greece today and one death

ATHENS. Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras wasn΄t present at today΄s update as he was otherwise engaged.
There were 6 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Greece today, taking the total to 2,626. One woman died today, taking the total number of deaths to 144.
The infectious disease specialist and head of the Air Force Health Service Air Vice Marshall Dimitris Hatzigiorgiou stood in for Sotiris Tsiodras at Sunday's update from the Ministry of Health. He started by thanking all the country's health workers for all their work to now.
He said that 37 patients remain intubated and 78 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
To date 79,332 tests have been carried out.
Air Vice Marshall reminded everyone that the basic protective measures are social distancing, hand hygiene and masks.
However, he clarified that masks with valves are extremely dangerous and recommended the use of cloth masks which can be easily washed and ironed.
