Big drop in number of lockdown violations in Ionian Islands - just 15 on Thursday!

ATHENS. Thursday saw the lowest number of lockdown violations in the Ionian Islands since the measures came into force.
According to police data, there was a considerable drop in the number of lockdown violations in the Ionian Islands yesterday, Thursday 30 April.
There were only two regions in Greece with fewer violations - Epirus (12) and Western Macedonia (10).
Previously the Ionian Islands Region was regularly near the top of the list usually behind only the two major cities Athens and Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia. The 15 violations yesterday is the lowest number since the measures came into force.
There were 1,228 lockdown violations in Greece on Thursday 30 April
Attica - 536
Thessaloniki - 196
Central Macedonia - 109
Crete - 85
Western Greece - 66
Thessaly - 48
Peloponnese - 46
East Macedonia & Thrace - 40
North Aegean - 26
South Aegean - 20
Mainland Greece - 19
Ionian Islands - 15
Epirus - 12
Western Macedonia - 10
Since the measures came into force on Monday 23 March there have been 60,124 violations nationwide - each receiving fines of 150 Euros.
