CORFU. Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis said that this will "put an end to the misinformation" that has been circulating.
Statement from Corfu General Hospital Director:
"The appointment of an orthopaedist in the Emergency Department was completed today as was that of a new assistant to the nursing staff who will be working as a hospital porter.
The appointment of the doctor puts to an end the misinformation that has recently been circulating that he would be leaving the hospital to take up an appointment in another service.
It should also be noted that the appointment of a new obstetrician-gynaecologist on 14 April brings the number of specialist doctors in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology up to six.
The Hospital Administration wishes them all success in their new appointments."
