When will cruises begin?

PIRAEUS. The cruise season may begin after mid-June according to cautious announcements from some cruise companies.

The original plans for mid-May have been put back for at least a month. Some companies are offering open credit for even up to 2 years in order to overcome any reservations that customers may have about when the season will begin and travel will be allowed.

From 13 June

Celebrity Cruises has announced that the suspension of operations has been extended to mid-June.

Two of the cruises it has announced will visit Corfu

Celebrity Edge - 15 June 2020. Home Port: Civitavecchia. Duration: 11 nights. Route: Kotor, Trieste, Split, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Messina and Naples.

Celebrity Infinity - 13 June 2020. Home Port: Venice to Civitavecchia. Duration: 8 nights. Route: Rijeka, Split, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Messina and Naples.

2-year Voucher

P&O Cruises has announced that the suspension of operations has been extended to 31 July 2020 due to COVID-19. 
 
All passengers who have made bookings up to 31 July will automatically receive 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). FCC can be used for any cruise up to the end of March 2022 (depending on availability) and must be booked before the end of December 2021.

Olsen Cruise Lines has announced that the suspension of operations has been extended to after May 2020. The company will assess all upcoming cruises from 23 May. The first five cruises with the European cruise ship Brabant have also been cancelled.
