ATHENS. 4 deaths from coronavirus in Greece today and 55 new cases.
In today's update, Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras said that there were 4 deaths today, taking the total to 125. There were 55 new cases, which were in health care facilities, taking the total to 2,463.
"We are continuing to be vigilant. The situation remains satisfactory but it can still get out of control," said Prof. Tsiodras and added, "We must contain the spread of the virus."
The average age of those who have died was 70 and 90.4% had underlying conditions or were 70 or over. 33 were females and the remainder males.
59,241 tests have been carried out.
52 patients throughout the country remain intubated. Their average age is 66 and 15 are females. 85% have serious underlying conditions or are over 70. 57 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
