Corfu Hospital Director: Number of ICU beds doubled - extra personnel expected

CORFU. "When there is a will to work and proper cooperation anything can be achieved," said Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis.
The number of ICU beds has doubled in readiness for the pandemic. Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis issued a statement saying: "Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic the Hospital Administration has been in continuous communication with the Ministry of Health to ensure proper preparation and readiness to deal with the situation.
The aim is to acquire more ICU beds to deal with the pandemic.
New beds also require more equipment and, of course, more personnel. Following the collaboration of the Hospital Director, the Ministry of Health and the ICU Director, the first step in doubling the 5 beds in Corfu General Hospital ICU has been taken with the acquisition of equipment and the expected recruitment of necessary personnel."
