All Corfu samples test negative. Patients΄ condition improving

IOANNINA. The Ioannina University Lab tested 46 new samples yesterday, 11 from Corfu General Hospital and the remainder from Epirus. All tested negative.
Update for Tuesday 14 April from Ioannina University General Hospital
1. Three coronavirus patients continue to be hospitalised in the negative pressure room in the Infectious Diseases Unit.
- The first came from Corfu General Hospital and his condition is improving steadily.
- The second is the widow of the patient from Corfu who died. Her condition is improving steadily.
- The third is a young man from Ioannina whose condition is stable and without symptoms.
2. One coronavirus patient from Ioannina continues to be hospitalised in the Step Down Unit. He is intubated and has shown improvement.
3. An older patient from Arta is hospitalised in the ICU - his condition is stable.
It has been confirmed that the young man who has been hospitalised in the negative pressure room over the last few days had been in quarantine at home following travel from abroad and was under observation from the Regional Health Service. Following tracing it was found that there were no other contacts as he had been in quarantine the whole time.
