When will air travel return to normal?

ATHENS. Things will return to normal but it will take time, said Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras in reply to a question from a journalist at today΄s daily coronavirus update.

Prof. Tsiodras said that it was too early to talk about the resumption of normal air travel in reply to a journalist's question at Friday's daily update. He said that there were different rates and levels of immunity in each country. There will be extensive antibody tests in the next phase which will indicate whether air travel and other activities are possible. The world won't stop turning he pointed out and stressed that things will return to normal but it will take time!


In the rest of the update the main topic was the matter of the Roma settlement in Larissa, which Sotiris Tsiodras and Nikos Hardalias visited on Friday afternoon.

They announced the special measures being taken in the area and Prof. Tsiodras referred to the recent statement from the European Council characterising the Roma as a vulnerable group as regards coronavirus and ways of dealing with the problems in their settlements.
