ATHENS. 2 deaths and 77 new confirmed coronavirus cases in Greece in the last 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases in Greece is now 1,832 and 90 patients are hospitalised in ICUs, according to Ministry of Health representative Sotiris Tsiodras in today's daily update.
He stated that there were 2 deaths today, taking the death toll to 81. 90 patients are intubated in Intensive Care Units and there were 77 new confirmed cases today, taking the total in the country to 1,832. 28,584 tests have been carried out up to now.
Regarding the removal of the lockdown, the Ministry of Health Professor of Infectious Diseases said: "This is not a simple matter", and added that "it's a marathon, not a short-distance sprint. We have to maintain a delicate balance between the measures and the economic impact."
"The pandemic is like driving a car with a lot of revs but carefully. We have to maintain a delicate balance so as not to overturn and undo all the progress we've made. If we're not careful, everything can change."
