A 72-year-old woman with underlying health conditions died at Thessaloniki Papanikolaou Hospital, becoming the 56th fatality from coronavirus in Greece.
The woman, who had chronic health problems, was from Kariohori, Eordaia and had been hospitalised with tubes at the Thessaloniki hospital.
Early on Friday morning a 67-year-old man from the village of Mavrovouni in Pellas died at Edessa Hospital, where he had been hospitalised. He was the second victim from Pellas - the first was a 78-year-old woman from Foustani.
Meanwhile, the village of Foustani is in quarantine and the police has a list of animal breeders and farmers who have absolutely essential needs to move for their work. There are four confirmed coronavirus cases in the area. It was announced on Friday morning that the samples from a 23-year-old foreign national from the village of Trifilli tested negative.
A 78-year-old man also died this morning in Alexandroupolis. According to initial information, the man was from Ehinos, which is in quarantine. THere have been 22 confirmed cases and 5 deaths in total in the Xanthi area.
