CORFU. The Medical Association will distribute surgical and face masks to all medical personnel on the island with the priority being hospital personnel.
The Hellenic Medical Association is distributing 50,000 masks to all doctors.
There is some concern in the medical community as to whether the general guideline 'If you have symptoms, stay at home' is sufficient. Medical sources say that the Ministry of Health is looking into the possibility of those with suspect coronavirus symptoms being examined at home by private doctors, who will receive full payment from the Ministry of Health or social insurance funds.
