IOANNINA. There are 14 cases hospitalised in Ioannina - 12 from Epirus and 2 from Corfu. The latest cases from Philipiada and Preveza put pressure on the hospital and there is concern about tracing the source of infection for some patients.
According to sources, the patient from Corfu with coronaviral pneumonia is tubed - as he was in Corfu - in Ioannina University Hospital ICU. The second Corfu patient is hospitalised in a negative pressure room in the Infectious Diseases Unit and his condition is said to be stable.

Over 36 Intensive Care Units have been created in the Epirus Region along with Step Down Units at the two Ioannina hospitals and the one in Arta.
