CORFU. "Nobody is in quarantine so let΄s put an end to the rumours and support the tireless efforts being made at the hospital..." says hospital nursing service.

None of the four members of staff at Corfu General Hospital, about whom there had been concern that they may have been infected following the first confirmed case on the island, is infected.

The President of the Hospital Employees' Union Dina Ioannou spoke to ERA Kerkyra radio station and confirmed that the test results were negative.

Just as the Nursing Service told Enimerosi yesterday, none of the above personnel had symptoms and all the proper procedures had been followed.

Due to the unprecedented situation caused by the pandemic, however, it is logical that there is concern amongst workers at Corfu General Hospital and every possible case must be checked.

The Nursing Service stressed to Enimerosi yet again, however, that no members of staff are in quarantine and called on everyone to stop spreading rumours and support the tireless efforts being made at the hospital to deal with this unprecedented situation.
